I find myself addicted to this place from time to time. The only reason I cannot give this place 5 stars is that sometimes the consistency isn't there. One day it can be the best meal I've had in weeks and then another I wonder why I really like it. Just today, I went for a lunch special with teriyaki chicken, sweet & sour chicke, plus rice and veggies. I had been wanting this for few days. Unfortunately, the sweet & sour sauce tasted like it had old pineapple juice in it or had been uncovered in the walk-in. Also, the chicken tasted like it had been marinated too long as it the texture was a little off and the freshness wasn't there. Why am I giving this 4 stars then? Becuase, like I said 9 times out of 10, this place is great. I will be back, but I will need some time to erase this less than stellar experience from my pallet.

I used to eat here ALL the time, until today. Now I will never go back. Apparently ordering 'yakisoba noodles with chicken teryaki' is a completely different meal than 'chicken teryaki with yakisoba noodles'. When my food came, I let them know this was not what I ordered and requested to the owner to please fix my meal and give me my usual, and she refused. I am appauled for how loyal of a customer I am, that they would not make this situation right and even mroe so that even if it was my first time in that they would not make this situation right. I didnt even eat my wrong meal and left I was so upset by how they treated me and how rude they were when I went to ask them how I could fix it. I encourage others to not eat here as a statement that customer service is important! There are plenty of other restaurants around this area that are more deserving of my money and time who I know will treat me better.

The name made me think this would be the best teriyaki around. I was a little under whelmed. Just a couple of blocks from my office, I was excited to have a fast-casual Japanese joint nearby for a quick, good lunch. The place is clear and the staff is friendly. The food is okay, but other, similar places I have been are better. And the price is high for what you get. Just around the corner is a full-service Thai restaurant with better food at a comparable price for lunch. If prices were a little lower, or food was a little better, or both, this place would be a winner. It has potential for great, but is really just so-so.

If you want some pretty good teriyaki then hit up this place. The service is great, very friendly and upbeat. They do have a TV. I've always grabbed my food and left but if you want to sit and eat it's a clean restaurant that isn't very loud. You can eat in peace or bring a group in. If you're looking for great food or trying to impress someone then this may not be the best place in the area. Still, the food is pretty good and it's a friendly place so check it out!

We weren't impressed with the chicken teriyaki bowl. We came here with an opened mind and the food was very blah. There was no flavor. We just weren't impressed and our cups and silverware were dirty. Probably not on my list to come back unfortunately.

This place is just to fill you up. I only went once because I was dying of hunger, but this is a meal you will feel guilty about afterward. Go here if you want a lot of food.

A simple teriyaki rice bowl with extra veggies can't be beat. My go to during a home depot run.

I've been coming to this location off and on for 10 years now. The employees are always friendly and service is pretty quick - especially for such a busy business area. The portions are a good size for decent prices. They are your basic dishes, but it's tasty and doesn't disappoint.

Daughter: "Mommy, is that playdough?" Me: "AAAGH - NO DON'T TOUCH! IT'S YUCKY!!!" She dropped something and peeked under the table. Eww. So I really wanted to like this place. I really really did. It's totally edible, and the place is clean, the staff is really friendly. The food was just not up to par, I'm sorry. I've had better at Panda Express. And I don't like Panda Express. I have to agree with other Yelpers - the decor is super duper dated. But it's a small mom n' pop shop, so I can't knock them on that. It's nice and roomy inside, and it's clean, which is better than most places I've been to. On to the food. *sigh* Sweet and Sour chicken - ugh. The chicken was fried and tasted previously frozen. Like it was bought at costco. Something should be said about chicken pieces that are all exactly the same size and perfectly battered. Yeah, that's not homemade. And don't get me started on the neon pink "sauce". Spicy Pork - this dish saved the meal. It had great flavor and the heat hits you just a little bit later. They seemed to have perfected this dish - it was pretty good. Yaki Soba with beef - this was ok, but tasted... different. It had a sweet taste to it, and the next day smelled and tasted... different. Can't put my finger on it, but if it tastes questionable, I worry especially if the kids are eating it. But it didn't taste bad. Just... different. Not sure we'll be coming back. But hey, at least we tried.

Food is alright, the tables always seem to be sticky, but prices are very reasonable. Walking distance from work, so for a quick bite it works.

Not bad. Definitely not "fine dining", but decent teriyaki. Interior is old but clean, and the staff is super friendly.

I had the beef & chicken combo, something simple. I found it odd that it wasn't cut into strips because it's awfully hard to eat an unsliced hunk of chicken with chopsticks. It's not -impossible-, but difficult to do so while maintaining a genteel decorum. Service was almost as quick as a fast food joint. The food is brought to your table after ordering from the counter, but make sure you pick up your own silverware/chopsticks. As for the food, in order from best to worst: * Shredded beef was excellent and flavorful * Chicken was merely ok and on the bland side * Vegetables were awful and I spat them out Visa and Mastercard only.

I travel to this area of the country about once a month and always stay at a hotel very close by.,.and always make a point to visit at least once, if not more. Hey, this isn't fine dining by any stretch of the imagination. But the food is good, the service is friendly and the place is clean. What more could you ask for? Oh yeah, price. You can get a chicken and beef combo with rice and some veggies for about $8. Awesome.

Decent for lunch. The chicken can be a bit inconsistent, and doesnt always seem of the highest grade, but what can you expect for a cheap lunch?

Weird decor. Chicken wasn't edible. The texture was weird. The flavor was good and the rice was yummy. But the chicken...I tossed all of it.

Just ordered and brought my food "to go" - I ordered a teriyaki chicken rice bowl. They microwaved frozen chicken from yesterday - tastes like rubber, and provided on broccoli and some cabbage (that's "extra veggies"). I used to be a regular here...I'll never eat here again!

The perfect spot for a quick lunch. I try not to eat the whole thing because if I do it's instantly nap time. I like this place because it tastes fresh and they have healthy options (brown rice, lots of veggies). I eat here often and rotate through the Teriyaki Chicken, Spicy Veggie Chicken, "New" Spicy Chicken (it's been new for about 4 years but whatever), and the Kung Pau Chicken...all good!

Great local teriyaki place. They have daily specials that are enough food for almost 2 meals. I generally eat here once or twice a week for lunch. Teriyaki chicken is great, as is the sweet and sour chicken.
